Aibhath ("Search" in Arabic) is a location-sharing app designed to help families and friends stay connected at the holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service:
- Display Name: The name you choose when creating or joining a group. This is visible to other group members only.
- Location Data: Your GPS coordinates are collected while you are actively using the app and have joined a group. Location data is shared only with members of your group.
- Group Information: Group names, group codes, and meeting point details you create within the app.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To show your location to members of your group so they can find you
- To display the distance between group members
- To show meeting points set by the group creator
- To provide navigation directions to meeting points
4. Data Sharing
Your location is shared only with members of groups you have voluntarily joined. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
5. Data Storage and Retention
- Location data is stored temporarily in memory and is not persisted after you leave a group.
- Group data (group names, member names, meeting points) is stored in our database for as long as the group exists.
- When you leave a group, your member data is removed from that group.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the app and our servers. Group access is restricted by unique group codes.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Stop sharing your location at any time by closing the app or revoking location permissions
- Leave any group, which removes your data from that group
8. Children's Privacy
Aibhath is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Permissions
The app requests the following device permissions:
- Location (required): To share your position with your group members. The app only accesses your location while you are actively using it.
- Camera (optional): Used only to scan QR codes for joining groups. The camera is never accessed without your explicit action of opening the QR scanner.
- Microphone (optional): Used only to record voice messages sent to group members. The microphone is never accessed without your explicit action of starting a voice recording.
The app does not access your contacts, files, photos, or any other device features beyond those listed above.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
